I shared the story of how this remedy came to be on my Instagram. It started with a month long bout of insomnia. It ended when I received a most gracious gift from my close friend in the Willamette Valley in Northwest Oregon. A giant bag of fresh & fragrant Willamette Valley hops. Indescribably delicious. I already had chamomile on the counter ready to fight my insomnia head on that night. I added a pinch of Kava Kava, put my herbs to simmer on a low flame and sleep came back to me. I drifted off into a peaceful slumber and slept like a log. In the morning I knew I had a new remedy and it would be called Driftwood. Drift peacefully into your slumber and sleep like a log is what you’ll do. Gentle doses work to combat anxiety, restlessness and worrisome thoughts. Larger doses bring that sweet deep sleep that we all need so desperately.
