Our handcrafted, homegrown, thoughtful blend of Anti-nausea, stomach relaxing herbs. Black Horehound, Freshly dried Ginger, Peppermint, Lemon Balm & Blue Butterfly Pea flowers
Black Horehound is especially helpful with stomach aches caused by:
Anxiety & Stress
Motion Sickness
Opiate Detox
It doesn’t take good - but it can help
My recipe as follows makes it more tolerable:
Brew 1-2 teaspoons dried ( 1/2 cup fresh) as you would any herbal tea. (Make a strong brew so that you can drink less) Add A LOT of honey (or sweeter of your choice) while tea is hot so that it will dissolve. Allow to cool to room temperature and drink in one big gulp.
Medicinal teas are traditionally taken at room temperature and in big gulps. Probably because they rarely taste good and that’s the easiest way to consume them .
Note: Black Horehound has a mild nervine effect. Take only a small amount until you’re familiar with it’s effects.
Black Horehound effects the action dopamine receptors in your brain. DO NOT use if you have Parkinson’s Disease.
Ladies Note: Black Horehound can effect your Moon Cycle. Be aware, informed and take precautions if necessary.
Black Horehound can effectively relieve morning sickness- but make SURE TO CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST!

The botanical materia medics, wares and recipes of this website are NOT INTENDED TO REPLACE THE SERVICES OF PHYSICIANS.
By all means see a physician when a condition requires his services.
There is ample proof that that botanical medicines have been used for thousands of years, and it is reasonable to believe that they were also used by primitive man to survive diseases, and the rigors of aging.
None of these products have been evaluated by the FDA.
Many botanicals offered at Starfish Honey are recognized in the United States and foreign pharmacopias. Many of them have been discarded for stronger, more certain, synthetic drugs, or other reasons.
Modern science is now reevaluating many of the old time botanicals, and searching jungles and distant places to seek remedies from aboriginal races.
The future of human medicine may very well rest in the methods of our ancient ancestors.
